They are amazingly easy and take less than an hour each. I do them watching a movie or if being driven somewhere. For this I have used a yarn with a bit of a sparkle.
This shows some with a card I just made...
You can make heaps of them and join them together as a scarf which is beautiful.
Over the next few days I'll post a full tutorial on how to make them.
Meantime I've started making them in a dusty pink sparkle to go with some parcels next week.
This shows some on a parcel ready to go. The paper is script which I found on Etsy and I love it!
For a rustic effect you can actually make these from string. But it's not much yarn and you can really use left overs and be making them for free. I love that they look lovely and are a fraction of the cost of horrible store bought bows.
Lovely parcels under the tree then given are just another joy of Christmas. Care and love put into packaging makes such a difference to a gift. When you can just look at a gift wondering if you can bear to open it you know it looks beautiful! I post many gifts, I want to imagine the recipient being excited just at the sight of it!
The parcel looks really special. Love the roses.
ReplyDeleteThank you Susan! xx
DeleteJust lovely Annabel, I was at the Big Design Market in Melbourne today and they were selling these in garlands, like bunting, approx 1.7m in length for $65, yours are so much nicer
ReplyDeleteJacqui thank you for telling me this... what an idea! mmm now thinking about the possibilities. If you see them again would you take a photo for me as I'd love to see. I better get busy! xxx
